Privacy

This notice explains how CEQA Labs handles information submitted through ceqalabs.com. It applies to this website, not to information governed by a separate client engagement agreement.

Information you choose to provide

If you use the inquiry form or contact CEQA Labs by email, we may receive your name, contact information, organization, and the details you include in your message. Please do not submit confidential, privileged, proprietary, or sensitive-species information through the website inquiry form.

How inquiry information is handled

Inquiry-form information is sent by email to CEQA Labs so that the inquiry can be reviewed and answered. It is not stored in a CEQA Labs website database. Email delivery, hosting, and security providers may process or retain technical and message data under their own terms. CEQA Labs keeps correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for the inquiry, business records, security, and applicable legal obligations.

Technical information

The website and its service providers may automatically process limited technical information, such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps, and security signals. This information is used to deliver, protect, and understand the operation of the website. CEQA Labs does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Privacy-focused website analytics

CEQA Labs uses Umami Cloud, a service provided by Umami Software, Inc., to understand site use and aggregate trends. The configured tracker does not use cookies, honors a browser's Do Not Track setting, and omits URL query strings and hash fragments. It records page views and limited technical context such as page path and title, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, language, screen size, and approximate location. Umami states that the IP address used to derive location is not stored.

Umami associates a visit with an anonymous hash generated from the visitor's IP address, user agent, and this website's ID, and its dashboard can display session-level activity. CEQA Labs does not call Umami's identify function or provide custom visitor or session properties.

CEQA Labs records only a small set of fixed interaction events, such as starting or successfully submitting the inquiry form and selecting email or scheduling links. These events contain no custom properties. CEQA Labs does not send inquiry fields, checklist answers, names, email addresses, phone numbers, organizations, project details, or message content to Umami. Session replay, heatmaps, custom identity resolution, and cross-site tracking are not enabled in Umami. Umami Cloud processes the analytics data in its United States region under its own privacy terms.

OpenAI Ads conversion measurement

CEQA Labs uses the OpenAI Ads Measurement Pixel only to attribute a submitted website inquiry to an OpenAI ad. The measurement code loads only when a visitor arrives with a well-formed OpenAI ad-reference parameter and the approved pilot campaign tags, or already has the related first-party attribution cookie. It does not load when the browser signals Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

OpenAI documents that its pixel reads the ad-reference parameter and may store it in a first-party cookie named __oppref for attribution. CEQA Labs limits eligible landing-page parameters to the OpenAI reference and fixed campaign tags. A conversion is sent only after the inquiry email provider accepts the message for sending, using the event name lead_created, a random event identifier, and a setting that opts the event out of ads personalization. Provider acceptance does not itself confirm final inbox delivery.

CEQA Labs does not use advanced matching and does not send inquiry fields, checklist answers, names, email addresses, phone numbers, organizations, roles, project details, message content, or a monetary lead value to OpenAI. OpenAI and network providers may process limited technical data needed to deliver and measure the request, such as IP address, user agent, page origin, referrer, and timestamps, under OpenAI's privacy policy.

Third-party services and links

This website links to third-party platforms, including Cal.com, LinkedIn, CEQA.ai, and NEPA.Tools. If you follow a link or schedule a meeting, that provider handles information under its own privacy terms. CEQA Labs does not control third-party websites or their data practices.

Engagement-specific practices

Data handling, AI-tool use, retention, access controls, and confidentiality requirements for client work are defined for each engagement. Those written terms, not this website notice, govern client materials.
